Charleston Tigers to play on Friday night instead of Thursday

By CLAY MCFERRIN,

The Charleston High School Tigers' varsity football regular-season finale will be played at M.S. Palmer High School in Marks on Friday, Nov. 1, with kickoff at 7 p.m.

The game had been originally scheduled for Thursday night, Oct. 31, but in a text message to The Sun-Sentinel on Monday, East Tallahatchie School District Athletic Director Michael Hargett said Palmer "changed the game to Friday night."

"They didn't want to play on Halloween night," he noted, adding, "It's their home senior night game."
