The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, June 29, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Showers and thunderstorms are expected across the Southeast
states once again tomorrow. Rain will be steadiest and
heaviest near the Texas coast as a tropical disturbance
moves onshore. The rain will be beneficial in areas with
ongoing drought, but localized flooding is also possible.
Additional storms are likely to develop in the Upper Midwest
during the afternoon and evening hours. Isolated storms may
turn severe, with hail and damaging winds possible. Showers
and embedded thunderstorms driven by the North American
monsoon are likely in the Four Corners states. While rain
coverage may be lower than recent days, variable terrain and
recent rainfall may increase the flooding risk in any heavy
rain areas. Seasonable conditions are expected in the
Northwest and Northeast.
