CHARLESTON — Clara Ruth Keeton, age 89, passed away Monday, March 26, at TGH’s Extended Care Facility in Charleston.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 29, from 9 a.m. until service time beginning 10 a.m. in the chapel of Newsom Funeral Home in Charleston. Interment will follow the service in Woodlawn Cemetery in Sumner.
Mrs. Keeton was a member of Worldwide Church of God, and best associated in the county by her seamstress work, which she loved to do.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Debbie Browning (Frankie) of Tutwiler; three sisters, Gladys Davis of Clarksdale, Billie Joe Gilmore of Charleston and Dot Cole (Larry) of Charleston; 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Keeton; her parents, Robert and Alma Hamblin; sisters and brothers.
