CHARLESTON — Dan Ingram, age 68, passed away Sunday Aug. 5, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday Aug. 8, from 12 o'clock noon until service time beginning 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Newsom Funeral Home in Charleston, MS. Interment will follow in Old Smith Cemetery, Cascilla.
Mr. Ingram was an avid hunter, fisherman, loving father, a good neighbor and a member of the Church of God faith.
He was a retired Naval Chief Officer and served his country for twenty-two years.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Teresa Hood (Al) of San Antonio, Texas; two sons, Ledaniel Ingram Jr. of Picayune and Wayne Ingram of Fort Collins, Col.; three grandchildren, Stevie Franks (Haley) of Ridgeland, Alan Savage of San Antonio, and Ashley Savage of Denver; two great grandchildren, Nigel and Addison Savage of San Antonio; and one sister, Dale Maddox of Scobey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merritt and Bonnie Ingram; a son, William Scott Ingram; a sister, Wanda Welch; and a brother, Norby Ingram Jr.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Zion Grove Church Strider Rd. Scobey.
