CHARLESTON — Griffin Lake Hodges, age 72, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, at his home near Enid.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at Newsom Funeral Home chapel in Charleston with interment following at Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery in the Teasdale comunity.
He was a retired sprinkler fitter and Fire Chief of Teasdale Fire Department.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Bernadette “Bernie” Hodges; his sons, Kevin Hodges of Charleston and Brandon Hodges (Alisha) of Enid; step-sons, David Johnston (Carrie) of Minnesota, Richard Johnston of San Antonio Texas, Kevin Johnston, Houston, Texas; his sisters, Ann Calvert (Clyde) of Southaven, Virginia Murphree (Don) of Enid, Linnie Beardain (Dan) of Kilmichael; his brother, George Hodges of Southaven; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Griffin and Melba Hodges; his son, Gregg Hodges; his sisters, Betty Sue Norman and Shirley Dubois; his brothers, Robert Hodges, John Lewis Hodges and James “Babe” Hodges.
