Jack King Jr.

CHARLESTON — Jack G. King, Jr., age 60, certified welder and retired professional race car driver, passed away at his home Tuesday, Dec. 25.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Born Dec. 4, 1958, in Norfolk, Va., he was the son of the late Jack G. King, Sr. and Julia Rivers Graham King.
He graduated from the Scuba School in Key West, Fla. and welded underwater for the well known Jacques Cousteau.
He is survived by his fiancé, Cynthia Mullen Brougher; a sister, Lorna King Keahey of Atoka, Tenn.; and a brother, Raymond Bedford King of Sardis.
Jack donated his trophies to St. Jude. His name is on their “Hall of Fame.”
The family requests memorials be made to  St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
