Drawer 350, Charleston, Mississippi, 38921, and said bids shall be opened on Monday, the 16th day of December 2019 at the hour of 10:00 o’clock A. M. at the Tallahatchie County Courthouse in Charleston, Mississippi. 10. It shall be incumbent upon each bidder to understand the specifications on the bid form and to obtain clarification when necessary. It is not the intent of the specifications to limit the bidding process to any make or manufacturer, but to fill a specific need and to perform a specific task.
11. The board of Supervisors of Tallahatchie County, Mississippi reserves the right to determine which is the lowest and best bid and to accept or reject any or all bids based on that determination.

RESOLUTION DECLARING PERSONAL PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF CHARLESTON, MISSISSIPPI, DESCRIBED HEREIN, TO BE SURPLUS PROPERTY AND NO LONGER NEEDED FOR MUNICIPAL USE AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR SALE OF SAID SURPLUS PROPERTY
Motion was made by Commissioner Lloyd Smith, and duly seconded by Commissioner Sandy Smith that the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Charleston, Mississippi, pursuant to section 17-25-25, Mississippi Code of 1972, do hereby resolve, order, ordain, and find as follows, to-wit:
1. That the following items of personal property of the City of Charleston, Mississippi, listed as follows: a used 2016 Bandit 990XP 12 Drum Chipper, S/N 4MUS51310FR002266, and a used 2010 Intl 430 Truck, VIN# 1HTJTSKL5AH259863, be and are found to be no longer to be needed for Municipal use by the City of Charleston, Mississippi and are hereby found and declared to be surplus property from the City of Charleston, Mississippi.
2. That said items of personal property are hereby authorized and directed to be advertised for sale by sealed bid by posting a notice of public sale of said items of personal property in three (3) public places in the City of Charleston, Mississippi, as is allowed by Mississippi Law, and that the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Charleston, Mississippi determines that sealed bids for said items of personal property of the City of Charleston will be received until 12:00 p.m. on the 9th day of December, 2019, and that said bids shall be received at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Charleston, Mississippi, the address of which is 26 South Court Square, Charleston, MS 38921, at the City Hall in Charleston, Mississippi, and that said sealed bids will be opened at 12:00 p.m. by the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Charleston, Mississippi.
