Taylor signs with Northeast

On National Signing Day Feb. 5, Charleston High School linebacker Jamar Taylor signed a National Letter of Intent to play football for the Northeast Mississippi Community College Tigers in Booneville.

As a senior at CHS, Taylor led the Charleston Tigers with 106 total tackles, 76 of which were individual stops. He also had one fumble recovery.

The 6-1, 204-pound Taylor was a postseason Mississippi Association of Coaches second-team All-State selection. Taylor (seated at center) is flanked by (from left) his sister Janiya Taylor, his grandfather Anderson Bradford, his mother Kimberly Taylor and his grandfather Roosevelt Taylor.
