The 16th annual college and career fair for Mississippi’s Second Congressional District will be held Friday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., at the Washington County Convention Center, 1040 S. Racewood Road in Greenville.
The event, hosted by Congressman Bennie G. Thompson, will feature prospective employers.
Also, various universities and community colleges, both in-state and out-of-state, will be available to discuss educational opportunities.
Fair attendees will be able to meet one-on-one with prospective employers and will receive career-readiness training and tips.
High school students who are in attendance will be able to participate in an interactive artificial intelligence workshop.
Featured employers already scheduled to participate in the event are Atmos Energy; Canopy Children’s Solutions; Continental Tire of the Americas-Clinton; Delta Health Alliance; Delta Health Center Inc.; Delta Health System; Dollar General Distribution Center; Durham School Services; Entergy Mississippi; Federal Bureau of Prisons; Golding Barge & Line; Leake County School District; Mars Food and Nutrition; Medgar and Myrlie Evers Home National Monument; Milwaukee Tool; Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks Law Enforcement; Mississippi Rural Water Association; NASA Stennis Space Center; Save the Children; U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Vicksburg District; U.S. Department of Homeland Security-Transportation Security Administration; and Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
