Tommie and Donna Burkhalter celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 11, in a packed fellowship hall at Adams Arbor Church of God of Prophecy in the Paynes community. The couple were married on June 9, 1973, at Turkey Foot Fork Church of God of Prophecy in the Holcomb community. They moved to the Stonefield area of the Cascilla community in 1973 and have resided there 50 years. They have two children, son Lee Burkhalter (wife, Jordan), and daughter Rebecca Burkhalter (husband, Wade). They have two grandchildren, Adlee Jane, age 6, and Andie Tate, age 4.
