LEVERETT — Ann Elizabeth Forrest Brasher, age 91, of the Leverett community, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 26, surrounded by her three children.
Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, February 2, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with interment following at Magnolia Gardens Cemetery at Paynes. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
She was born August 11, 1934, in Sumner to Saunders Doty Forrest and Mary Lee Phelps Forrest.
Ann was an amazing and loving mother, Granny, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply. She was a faithful member of Paynes Baptist Church for more than sixty years, until her health no longer allowed her to attend. Through every trial and season of illness, she never lost her faith and remained a true inspiration to all who knew her. Ann kept her eyes fixed on heaven and looked forward to the day she would be with her Heavenly Father.
She is survived by her daughter, Pat Little (Dennis) of Grenada; two sons, Alan Brasher (Amy) of Enid and Brent Brasher (Gabriela) of Holcomb; one brother, Jimmy Forrest of Plano, Texas; eight grandchildren, Lance Mitchell, Libby Cunningham, Laci Brasher, Lauren Murphree, Jonathan Brasher, Danielle Brasher, Alexandra Brasher and Ben Brasher; six great-grandchildren with one more great-grandchild on the way.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest Barton Brasher; sister, Mary Belle Moore; and brothers, Edward Forrest, Charles Forrest and Reginald “Bubba” Forrest.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Ben Brasher, Jonathan Brasher, Sam Brasher, Seburn Brasher, Charlie Forrest and Lance Mitchell.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Paynes Baptist Church.
