Warm and pleasant greetings to all. We hope you are enjoying a good week. As usual, there’s always some days, even weeks, more challenging than others, but it’s what gets us through ’til the next. We learn to live with the hard situations. Conditions fluctuate and God may not change the situation, but He changes us, because we belong to Him.
On Thursday afternoon, day 34 following the ice storm, we had service connections restored for phone and internet. Yes, residents were (I was) delighted!

Daylight saving time begins, Sunday March 8. Set clocks forward one hour. You’ll get the hour back on Nov. 1!
Our community sends best wishes to students and faculty as nine weeks exams are taking place. We hope all will enjoy a happy and safe spring break next week. This is a good time to assign children chores they enjoy doing. Perhaps the student will volunteer and help with a chore around the house the entire family can appreciate.
Now, as always, is a good time to take the opportunity to attend Bible classes. The Missionary Baptist Churches began the Sunday School Spring Quarter Studies the first Sunday, March 1. These next three months’ lessons will present an engaging exploration of the social challenges historically faced by faithful Christians.
It reflects on how churches today can embody Christ’s presence in addressing similar issues in our contemporary context, by fulfilling our obligations to neighbors, to family and community and to God and society.
Churches welcome your presence to attend and participate in any and all worship and praise services. Learning to apply Bible principles to our everyday lives can make a positive difference in our home and community.
March is National Nutrition Month. “Discover the Power of Nutrition” is a theme. This campaign emphasizes making informed food choices, developing healthy eating habits and recognizing the positive impact that nutrition has on personal health, communities and quality of life. It may seem as if it’s saying a lot and it really is.
Here are some tips individuals can focus on in making small sustainable changes in diets. We can balance our meals and snacks.
Think about preventive health, good nutrition, to prevent chronic diseases.
Get expert advice from others and credible sources of nutrition information.
And lastly, think about your community’s health enabling individuals and communities to thrive.
