The Charleston Arts and Revitalization Effort (CARE) is accepting nominations for their 2018 Living Legends Award.
Nominations must be submitted to the CARE office, the Charleston Arts Center, at 1 N. Market St. on the square, by April 30.
Anyone may nominate someone who is of high moral character, has set good examples for others to admire and has benefited the Charleston community in positive ways during their lifetime. A nominee does not have to be a CARE member.
While nominations are open to the general public, only CARE members in good standing (with their dues paid) may cast a ballot in the selection of the Living Legends honoree.
CARE membership is open to everyone. Annual membership dues are $20 for individuals and $40 for a family. To join, visit the Charleston Arts Center or call 647-0942 for more information.
To make a nomination, submit to CARE a brief written biography — with photo, if possible — explaining why the nominee should be considered for the award and signed by the person submitting the nomination.
Nominations may be hand-delivered to the Charleston Arts Center or mailed to CARE, P.O. Box 1092, Charleston, MS 38921.
