The Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame & Museum (MSHOF) on Tuesday night announced Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss as the 2025 C Spire Conerly Trophy winner, honoring Mississippi’s most outstanding college football player.
Chambliss delivered a record-setting season, surpassing 3,000 passing yards, averaging 348.6 total yards per game, and leading Ole Miss to an 11–1 finish. His four-touchdown Egg Bowl performance earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week honors and solidified his place among the Rebels’ elite.
As part of the 30th anni-versary celebration of the Conerly Trophy, two more awards were presented:
• SWAC Impact Award: JaCobian Morgan, Jackson State – 1,183 passing yards, 11 TDs, 265 rushing yards in six games
• Division II/III Excellence Award: William Carter IV, Delta State – 59 tackles, 5 TFL, 1.5 sacks, 5 PBUs; First Team All-GSC
2025 nominees represented programs across Mississippi: Alcorn State, Belhaven, Delta State, Jackson State, Millsaps, Mississippi State, Mississippi Valley State, Ole Miss and Southern Miss.
“We are honored to celebrate the incredible depth of talent across Mississippi,” said Andrea Patterson, executive director of the MSHOF.
The C Spire Conerly Trophy is named after Ole Miss and New York Giants legend Charlie Conerly.
