Farrah Franklin James, 5-year-old daughter of Billy and Amy James of Charleston, will be a contestant in the statewide Little Miss and Mr. Magnolia State Pageant finals in Vicksburg on Sept. 24-25.
James, who currently holds the title of Tiny Miss Delta Sparkle, is the granddaughter of Bubba and Bonnie James of Charleston and Kim Baker of Grenada.
Contestants ages 0-11 years old will be competing in what is billed as “the largest pageant in the state of Mississippi.”
One unique aspect of the pageant is that the children who compete do not wear glitzed-out attire or don fake hair or spray tans, according to organizers.
The winners in each age division will receive a $1,000 cash scholarship for their future education.
Pageant competition will take place Saturday, Sept. 24, and the crowning ceremonies will be Sunday, Sept. 24.
The event, which is open to the public, will be held at Vicksburg City Auditorium, 901 Monroe St.
