Denman Fly, of Charleston, recently completed the National Youth Leadership Forum’s Pathways to STEM program at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
This six-day summer program, hosted on college campuses through Envision by WorldStrides, gives elementary students the opportunity to explore the exciting world of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) through hands-on, interactive experiences.
Throughout the program, Fly participated in engaging workshops focused on robotics, coding, medicine and forensic science — allowing him to learn, create, problem-solve and explore potential careers in STEM.
The 10-year-old is the son of Jimmy and Mary Fly and is a fifth-grade student at Pope School.
