Both Charleston and Tutwiler have announced plans for Christmas parades to be held next week.
Tutwiler will offer the first opportunity for Tallahatchie County residents to view a local parade.
The traditional nighttime parade will be held on Monday, Dec. 9, starting at 5:30 p.m., Mayor Nichole Harris-Rosebud announced last week.

The Charleston Christmas parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, starting at 3 p.m. The theme is “A White Christmas, A King Was Born.”
Churches, schools, clubs and others are invited to enter floats or other entries. There is no charge to participate.
Lineup will begin at 1 p.m. at the former National Guard armory. Judging will occur during lineup, and trophies will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place winners.
