Sharonique Q. Layton, a Charleston native, has been accepted into The University of Mississippi School of Law.
Layton is the daughter of Sharon Brown and Timothy Layton and the granddaughter of Dorothy Brown and the late Ed Brown.
Layton earned a bachelor’s degree at The University of Memphis in criminal justice/criminology, journalism and a concentration in zoology.
She earned a Master of Business Administration in business at the University of South Dakota.
Layton has been a paralegal for over eight years and has wanted to be an attorney from a very young age.
She owns a paralegal business, The Paralegal’s Charm School, where she teaches future paralegals, law students and attorneys how to draft legal documents.
Layton hopes to open her own law practice right after law school and become a judge someday.
Her favorite quote is, “God’s timing is always the perfect timing.”
