The Winona Garden Club hosted the spring 2022 “Hills and Delta” district meeting recently.
Cindy Ellis and Sherry Clark represented the Plantation Garden Club. A delicious lunch was served at the United Methodist Church in Winona. Beautiful floral arrangements were on display.
The Plantation Garden Club was awarded seven state awards. One award was for our yearbook. Six awards were for our flower show, which was held in October. Two of these awards were individual awards. Cindy Ellis won a blue ribbon in the “Botanical Arts Artistic Crafts” category. Lyn Gates won a blue ribbon in the “Table Artistry” category.
The Plantation Garden Club was most excited about our national award, a “Certificate of Merit,” for our small Standard Flower Show. We would like to thank Jennifer Flautt for organizing and planning our flower show.
