The Charleston Magnolia Garden Club recently held its annual Standard National Garden Club Flower Show on Saturday, May 7th, at The First Presbyterian Church Family Life Center.
This years theme, “Proud to be an American” was a patriotic salute to our country and the freedoms we enjoy. The center was decorated with military and Americana memorabilia throughout. Many of the club members furnished pictures and military wear of loved ones who served our great country in the past and present.
The different divisions included Division I “America the Beautiful” representing horticulture. Division II “Let Freedom Ring” - Design, Division III “American History” - Education and Division IV Botanical Arts with Veterans Day as the theme.
