Two members of our First Baptist Church Sumner just returned from the state gymnastics championship, which is the last event of the season where all teams from the entire state compete against each other.
Kate Eliot Stubbs and Emma Roach have been taking gymnastics from Fusion Training Center in Cleveland.
Kate Eliot has been training since she was 3 years old. At age 7, she just completed her second year of competitive gymnastics.
Kate Eliot’s mom Kristen reports: “Kate Eliot scored her highest all-around score ever with a 37.1750 and she placed 4th overall in the Xcel Silver A category at the MS State Gymnastics Championship! She has worked so hard this season and it was such a joy to watch her hard work pay off!”
Emma Claire Roach just finished her second year of competitive gymnastics with Fusion Training Center in Cleveland.
Emma’s mom Callie reports: “Emma’s favorite event is the balance beam, where she scored a 9.3 at the State Championships in Jackson. She took home 4th place in the floor event and placed 6th in All-Around in her age division.”
