Three local members of the community are ready to pucker up to kiss a pig during our Gateway to the Delta Festival on Oct. 12.
Danny Adams, David Groner and John Ball Burnett are competing for the honor to plant a huge kiss on Miss Peaches, who is a baby pig owned by Jeremy and Laura Woods. Although we do realize that the original Scissors was a male, we could not resist this adorable little baby pig who is definitely photo-worthy.
So, who will determine the lucky recipient of this prestigious honor? YOU!
Collection jars for Danny, David and John Ball will be placed at the CARE building, The Sun-Sentinel and other locations around Charleston to allow members of the community to vote prior to the festival for their fan favorite.
Each vote will cost $1, and you can vote as many times as you would like. Proceeds help CARE provide programs.
All votes will be tabulated during Gateway and voting will end at 3:30 on Oct. 12. The winner will be announced during the awards portion of the festival, which will begin at 4 p.m. on the Gateway Festival stage.
