The month of March brought us so much joy here at Tallahatchie General Hospital Extended Care Facility. We enjoyed spending time outdoors, utilizing our wonderful courtyard.
Residents during this time got to spend time visiting with each other from both A and B Wing while soaking in the sunshine and the smell of spring. They each got to enjoy the sight of our freshly bloomed tulips courtesy of the Magnolia Garden Club, who came and planted them before winter hit. Thank you to the garden club for their constant participation in making our courtyard so special to us. The tulips give us all such a sense of hope that warmer weather is here to stay!
Our residents have had so much fun enjoying community bingo! We had the Charleston Rotary Club, who took on bingo in February with our residents and we are so appreciative of them! We continued into the month of March with the company of the Church of God who have brought many laughs and, of course, our residents’ favorite snacks!
As always, thank you to our community for all you pour into our residents and facility!
We spent time in March celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and Easter with crafts and activities. March was packed with holidays, but one that we never want to take for granted during the month of March is that it is also Social Workers Appreciation Month!
Here at our Extended Care Facility, we want to show appreciation to Tara Hervey and Latonya Thomas. Both of these women spend countless hours giving their all to our residents and to their families. The compassion they show and their efforts in striving to do more for our residents are something they both conquer daily at our facility. We hope you will stop by and tell them thank you for all they do here!
