Warm greetings with the thoughts of Thanksgiving to all. The season is here, and the next few weeks families and friends will gather for reunions, fellowship dinners and holiday socials. Many are overanxious to see those whom they have not seen for a while. Give thanks for your family and friends.
Maybe every family won’t celebrate with large gatherings, but even if it is just you, or you and a spouse or friend, I think you should have a beautiful tablescape.
Make your place settings attractive. It may be as simple as a place card (with an attached photo) a pretty potted plant, or flank the table with beautiful leaves you’ve picked up, washed and dried. Enjoy your day. Be reminded of all the wonderful blessings you have enjoyed and, hopefully, shared. Give thanks!

I want to share an easy and fun recipe with you. Making cookies is automatically a fun time. I like peanut butter cookies. I don’t say delicious, I just think cookies are so good!
Perhaps you have tried this peanut butter cookie using cake mix. It will turn out perfect each time. Use your imagination to imprint the unbaked cookie when you place them all on the baking pan before putting the pan in the oven. Here’s the recipe:
Cache Mix Peanut Butter Cookies
1 box of (moist) yellow cake mix
¼ cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter
¼ cup shortening or vegetable oil
2 eggs
1. Heat oven to 375 F (350 for dark or nonstick pan. In large bowl, using electric mixer, beat cake mix, brown sugar, milk, peanut butter, shortening and eggs at medium speed until smooth.
2. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar if you like. Place on un-greased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart. Flatten with a fork, cookie presser or glass bottom.
3. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until browned. Cool 1 minute. Remove from cookie sheet to baking rack to cool. Store covered.
