Nancy Opalko, a puppeteer from Oxford, taught a puppet workshop as part of the summer camp series at CARE’s Charleston Arts Center in July. Students created puppets from unconventional materials, which included styrofoam, pipe cleaners, paint and socks. Camp ended with a puppet show to showcase their puppet creations.
