TUTWILER — Deanna Melton Moorman, 66, of Tutwiler, passed away Monday, Dec. 16, at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at Friendship West Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Harris officiating. Interment followed in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Sumner.
She was born March 13, 1958 in Clarksdale to Dillard D. and Dorothy Caroline Logan Melton. A devoted homemaker, Deanna loved to prepare delicious meals for her family and other loved ones. She was a long-time bookkeeper for her brothers at SMD Farms and attended Friendship West Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Cox; daughter, Constance Moorman Cagle (Tim); two sons, Ryan Moorman and Skylar Moorman; three brothers, Scottie Melton (Karen), Mike Melton (Shelia) and Dillard Melton, Jr. (Sandy); six grandchildren, Ava, Fiona, Addison, Daulton, Brooks and Alexis Moorman; and a great-grandchild, Paisley Lester.
Deanna is preceded in death by her parents, Dillard and Dorothy Melton.
Larry Campbell, Matt Clark, Greg Jones, Beau Melton, Scott Melton, Blaine Sanders and Ray Slaughter honore Deanna by serving as pallbearers and carried her to rest in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
