CHARLESTON — Edna Travillion Winford Brown, age 91, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1.
Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Pilgrim Rest Church of God of Christ near Oakland. Community Funeral Directors had charge of arrangements.
She had a long and successful career as an educator in the Tallahatchie County School District for 33 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Booker T. Winford. She later married Gerald Brown.
She is survived by her children, Odell Knight, Kenneth Winford, Simone Terry, Dierdre Fannon, Barbara Holliday, Michael Winford and Soya Prophett; a brother, 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
