Donna Bryant, portraying Daisy Werthan, shares her insights: "Growing old is hard. It's easier with someone who understands you. I'm so very glad Daisy found Hoke. Her life would have been so much less without him."
Donna brings a wealth of experience to the stage, having appeared in several notable GLT productions, including "Laundry and Bourbon," "Into the Woods," and "Beauty and the Beast."
Marcus Cooper, taking on the role of Hoke Coleburn, offers a unique perspective, stating, "Hoke represents a version of humanity that is often looked over even though he possesses the characteristics of any true human being. He's not one to sugarcoat his communication for the sake of entertainment. He has a sense of wisdom, knowledge and experience that he often holds inside until he's pushed to his limit."
Marcus's previous credits include memorable performances in "M*A*S*H" and "Ragtime."
Bobby VanDevender, portraying Boolie Werthan, remarks on his character's journey, "Boolie highlights the generational gap and how it affects the changing roles that have historically pervaded Southern culture."
