A Tallahatchie County grand jury has formally charged two men with capital murder and conspiracy in connection with a July 23 slaying near Webb.
Quincy Qutexz Scott, 20, of 194 Williams Dr., Tutwiler, and Quardero M. Gipson, 19, of 131 N. Laura St., Webb, were named in identical two-count indictments handed down Sept. 29 by a grand jury in the 2nd Judicial District at Sumner.
The pair are charged in the early-morning shooting death of Adrian Wilchie, 44, whose lifeless body was found on the ground near his cranked pickup truck at a stop sign on Second Street in the Goose Pond subdivision.
Wilchie apparently had been shot “multiple times” in the head with a 9 mm weapon, according to a law enforcement investigation. Robbery was cited as the suspected motive.
