GT&Y Utility District Inc. has issued a boil water notice for portions of their area. GT&Y operator, James Jones, said this precautionary action will remain in effect until sample results are received from the Mississippi Department of Health.
The areas included in this notice are as follows:
• Lakeridge Road and all areas north of Lakeridge
• Areas west of Highway 51
• Archie Jackson Road and areas west of Archie Jackson
GT&Y officials recommend that consumers vigorously boil for one minute any water to be consumed.
Users will be notified when tests show the water is safe.
