Mid-State Opportunity Inc. MySTATUS Youth Opportunity Program is recruiting out-of-school youth ages 16-24, not enrolled in any school, to participate in the program.
Any business or organization that would like to know more about how they might be able to assist as a partner is asked to contact local Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) Program coordinator Arvelia Brock at 662-647-2463 for details.
The MySTATUS Program serves youth in Tallahatchie, Tunica, Panola and Quitman counties.
Instructors guide participants in exploring their educational/vocational interests in a traditional classroom setting as well as a virtual experience.
Participants are provided the opportunity to attend career fairs and connect with various resources to stay abreast of the labor market within the communities served by the program.
In addition to Brock, youth program staff members are Libya Evans, program assistant; Jean Anderson, instructor; and Baxter Swearengen, instructor.
