BATESVILLE — Ida Margaret Sherman Bryan, age 84, passed away Monday, October 12, at the BeeHive Homes of Batesville.
Visitation will be held 9-11 a.m. Friday, October 16, at First Baptist Church in Batesville with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. A family graveside service will follow at Orwood Cemetery. Wells Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
She had worked at the MS Highway Department, First Security Bank and the Bank of Batesville, and was sworn in as the Sheriff of Panola County after the death of her husband, David Marion Bryan. She worked for the District Attorney’s office until her retirement.
She is survived by her three children, Dana Phillips Ware of Batesville, Leigh “Bebe” Sumner of Ridgeland and Joel Bryan of Oxford; a brother, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
