A Tallahatchie County grand jury recently returned a variety of criminal indictments, according to records on file Tuesday at the circuit clerk’s office in Charleston.
Addresses were not listed.
Indicted were:
» Freeland Amos McGee Jr., 47, on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident. McGee was charged as an habitual offender due to previous drug and burglary convictions.
» Shaun Hill, 39, on a charge of burglary of a dwelling and two counts of burglary of a building other than a dwelling. Hill was charged as an habitual offender due to previous drug convictions.
» Bobby Quandell Thomas, 29, on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender
» Sammy Kendall, aka Sammie Earl Kendall, 40, on a charge of aggravated domestic violence
» Robert Shane Scallions, 39, on a charge of grand larceny
» Mason Edwards, 32, on a charge of aggravated assault involving a crowbar
» Margaret M. Simmons, 53, on a charge of bad check
» Stanley Ross, 43, on a charge of aggravated domestic violence involving a tire tool
» Dewayne D. Tellis, 35, on charges of conspiracy, burglary of a dwelling, grand larceny and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
» Marrion Frost, 35, on charges of conspiracy, burglary of a dwelling and grand larceny
» Myron Frost, 35, on charges of conspiracy, burglary of a dwelling and grand larceny
Indictments were returned in five other cases but have not been served and made public, a circuit clerk’s worker said.
