HOLCOMB — Johnny Wayne King, age 66, of Holcomb, passed away Friday, Sept. 26, at his home.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Stonefield Church of God with interment following in the church cemetery.
He was born October 28, 1958 in Grenada to James Albert King and Hattie Ray Taylor King. Johnny spent most of his working life as a mechanic and farmer. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and collecting antiques. He was a member of Stonefield Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene King; daughter, Christina King Cook (Dan) of Tomnolen; son, James Wesley King of Holcomb; sisters, Debra King Grantham (Ricky) and Mary Ann Grantham, both of Holcomb; seven grandchildren, Lexi Cook (Paul Johnston), Daniel Wayne Cook, Leah Cooper (Colten), Crissy Cook (Eli Naron), James Wesley King, Jr. (Terrie Merryman), Jayden King and Izabella Thomas; and three great-grandchildren.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents.
