DUCK HILL — Kay Veasey Marter, age 82, passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, at her home.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with interment following in Duck Hill Cemetery.
A former secretary at Cliff Colbert Chevrolet, she was a member of Duck Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Marter, and son, Terry Dwayne Abel.
She is survived by daughters, Sheryl Abel Butler of Germantown, Tenn., Cynthia Rogers of Big Creek and Deborah Clay of Atoka, Tenn.; sons, Gerald Abel of Murfreesboro, Tenn, Randy Marter of Charleston and Bill Abel of Grenada; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
