Editor, Sun-Sentinel:
I am 66 years old. I have lived in Enid since I was 1 year old. I have always loved this town.
I don’t understand what is happening. It seems that manners and pride have skipped a generation.
Is there a law that if you eat at a fast food place you have to throw the trash on the side of a public road? There is garbage from Highway 51 all the way through town, on both sides.
I know what it does to property values when people move next to you and immediately begin to fill what was a yard with trash — so much that it blows onto the road and onto other people’s land.
There are laws against littering. I believe people have a right to do what they want on their land, but not to the detriment of others.
I try to ignore it, but that makes the situation worse. This is a public eyesore.
Please save my town.
