Greg and Paula Lovorn of Calhoun City are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Charlesy Lauren Lovorn of Water Valley, to Clifton Caleb Kennedy of Charleston. He is the son of Ben and Angel Kennedy of Charleston.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Charlie and Suzye Lovorn of Calhoun City, and Mary Ann McGreger and the late Charles McGreger and Laura West of Vardaman.
She is a 2014 graduate of Calhoun City High School and a 2022 graduate of Rider University, where she received her master’s degree in athletic leadership/administration.
She is employed at Water Valley High School as a teacher and softball coach.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Jane Kennedy and the late Leon Kennedy of Grenada, and Janice Rodgers and the late Monroe Rodgers of Charleston.
He is a 2018 graduate of Charleston High School and a 2020 graduate of Northwest Community College, where he received an associate’s degree in liberal arts.
He is a firefighter with the Grenada Fire Department.
The couple will exchange wedding vows at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at Big Springs Baptist Church in Water Valley. A reception will follow at Colonel’s Landing, located at 731 CR 431, Water Valley.
