Multi-pageant award recipient Ziili Turner added another title to her trophy case by becoming the 2023 World Official Universal Winner in the baby petite class.
As the 1-year-old daughter of Tallahatchie County natives Lacrecia and Nico Turner, who now live in Jacksonville, Florida, Lilly’s accomplished her feat at the Our Little Miss world pageant, held July 3-9 in Washington, D.C.
“We would like to dedicate this win to Ziili’s late great-grandfather John Herring, who always went above and beyond, doing whatever he could to make sure we all followed our dreams,” said Lacrecia. “He is truly missed.”
Lacrecia said more than 320 contestants competed in the pageant, noting that Ziili was representing the state of Florida, where she won the title of state queen.
“She has been an amazing firecracker on stage and all of her hard work and preparation throughout the year has paid off,” Lacrecia added.
In addition to overall title in her class, Ziili won for Best Party Dress, Best Portfolio, first place High Fashion, first place Character Wear, first place TV/movie, third place Vintage Wear and Top 5 World Official Baby Petite.
Ziili is the granddaughter of Frederick and Juanita Simmons of Charleston, Brenda Turner of Holcomb and Wesley Bradford of Oakland.
