CHARLESTON — Al Kuykendall, age 72, passed away early Monday morning, Jan. 1, at his home.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Jan. 4, from 11 a.m. until service time beginning at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Newsom Funeral Home in Charleston with interment to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery near Oakland.
Al was a loving husband, father and grandfather and he was also a member of the Dream Riders Biking for Children Organization from its inception.
Those whom he leaves behind include his loving wife, Debbie Kuykendall of Oakland; two daughters, Reggie Smith and husband Toby Smith of Oakland and Kelsey Fleming and husband Chris Fleming of Nashville, Tennessee; and three grandchildren, Max, Lilla and Ella Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Walter Kuykendall Jr. and Rosa Evelyn Allen Kuykendall.
