TIPPO — Betty Jane Ryan Murphey, age 84, passed away Tuesday, July 16, at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 27, from 10 a.m. until service time beginning at 11a.m. at Tippo Methodist Church in Tippo, where she was a member, with interment following in the church cemetery. Newsom Funeral Home has charge.
She was preceded in death by her husband Julian “Super” Murphey.
She is survived by her children, Dawn M. Stafford, Ryan Murphey, Mary Agness W. Phillips; a brother, and 9 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
The family requests any memorials be made to Tippo Methodist Church.
