CASCILLA — Charles Hayden Carpenter, age 77, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 12, in Cascilla.
The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Newsom Funeral Home in Charleston with interment to follow at Magnolia Garden Cemetery in the Paynes community.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, a member of Cascilla Baptist Church and a very family-oriented person.
He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Patton (Danny) of Cascilla; his son, Charles Hayden Carpenter Jr. of Scobey; three grandchildren, Harley Patton and Piper Patton, both of Cascilla, and Paisley Carpenter of Scobey; and two brothers, R.C. Carpenter of Teasdale and Billy Carpenter (Judy) of Como.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Carpenter; his parents, Harvey and Juanita McCallop Carpenter; four sisters, Catherine Bennett, Dorothy Kendall, Winnie Davis and Patricia King; and four brothers, Bobby, Harvey, Bubba and Carlane Carpenter.
