GREENWOOD — David Ladell McCluskey was born November 20, 1959 to the late D.L. and Betty McCluskey. He passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital surrounded by his family.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Rev. Jerry McNeer will officiate. Interment will follow in Sparta Cemetery near Holcomb.
David graduated from Strider Academy in 1979, and while there, he was a member of the football team and given the nickname “MAC.”
He was a member of Sparta Methodist Church in Holcomb and started his working career delivering milk for Borden and later retired from Scott Petroleum where he was transport manager for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Lindsay McCluskey; sisters, Susan M. Steen and Margaret Lindsey; brother, Jody Murphy (Ashley); three daughters, Mary Parker McCluskey, Kacie McCluskey and Lindsay Miller; two grandsons, Briston McCluskey and Bryce Miller; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dudley Holman, Danny Holliman, Howard Holliman Joey Greco, Shane Cox, Mike Acy, Jason Rainey, Taylor Woods, and Ken Johnson.
