SUMNER — Dorothy Ann “BumBum” Haney Walters, 89, a retired Postmaster of Sumner, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, at her daughter's home.
Visitation is Monday, Nov. 11, 10 - 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Sumner with funeral services following at 11 a.m. Interment will be held in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Sumner. Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale has charge of arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur Joe Hanks and William David “Red” Walters, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Miley of Puckett, Nancy Joe Hanks Dunavent of Sumner, Decilia Joubert of Sumner, Donna Calderon of Canton, Anita Bright of Pope; a sister and nine granchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
