SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Effie Lee Buie, 80, of Syracuse, New York, died Thursday, April 25.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 8, at 11 a.m., at Bethany Baptist Church in Syracuse. Interment followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Syracuse. Garland Brother Funeral Home was in charge.
Mrs. Buie is survived by her husband, Elder Henry H. Buie; four daughters, Gwendolyn James, Sheila Rogers and Serena Buie, all of Syracuse, and Casandra Buie of Raleigh, North Carolina; four sons, Cornelious Jenkins-Buie of Chicago, Henry L. Buie of Indian Land, South Carolina, and Charles and Shannon Buie, both of Syracuse; one sister; two brothers; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
