CHARLESTON — Gregory “Greg” Jerome Ellett, age 41, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Wednesday, June 12, at University Medical Center in Jackson.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at Adams Arbor Church of God of Prophecy.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 16, at Adams Arbor with Bro. Phillip Pharr officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Womble Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
He was born on July 6, 1982, to Terry Ellett and Peggy Osborn Ellett.
Greg was a graduate of Charleston High School (Class of 2001), then attended Northwest and earned his welding certification/degree. He was an outdoorsman,and loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, a true friend indeed that loved others. Greg was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend who is already dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Terry Ellett and Peggy Osborn Ellett; a brother, Brent Ellett (Jamie); two aunts, Gay Hodges (Terry) and Wanda Fay Osborn; two uncles, Jerry Ellett (Kim) and Doyle Ellett (Dianne), all from the Murpheesboro community, four cousins, Kyle Ellett, Courtney Ellett, Ryder Ellett, and Nic Smith; nieces and nephews, Brayden Ellett, Breanna Ellett, Emeri Ellett, Caroline Ellett, Mabry Hoop and Hallie Ruth Hoop.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, J.T. Ellett and Mary Lynn Ellett, Henry Osborn, Jr., and Sue Osborn; and a cousin Matthew Ellett.
Pallbearers are Brent Ellett, Doyle Ellett, Jerry Ellett, Kyle Ellett, Terry Hodges, Matthew Wallke and Anthony Rideout.
