PAYNES — Jamie White Shook, age 90, passed away Friday, March 31.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, April 2, at Paynes Baptist Church with interment following at Magnolia Gardens Cemetery at Paynes. Womble Funeral Home had charge of arrangements
He was born in Paynes on December 28, 1932, to the late Robbie White Shook and Noah Clifton Shook.
Jamie was a member of Paynes Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He also served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mildred Shook; daughter, Jamie Shook Brandon of Oakland; son, Robert “Bobby” Shook (Carol) of Pope;, brother, Edward E. Shook of Paynes; five grandchildren, Heather Shook King, Christina Austin, Tyler Shook (Sabrina), Wilson Brandon, Noah Brandon (Arlie); and six great-grandchildren, Cade Busby, Kendall Busby, Savanna King, Haygen Austin, Bryce King and Millie Jane Brandon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Sara Jane Shook.
Pallbearers were Tyler Shook, Wilson Brandon, Noah Brandon, Cade Busby, Tim King and Blaine Sanders.
Honorary pallbearers were Bryce King and Haygen Austin.
