Jenett Jones
CHARLESTON — A memorial service for Mrs. Jenett Jones, age 72, widow of Mr. Roger Jones, will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, at Faith Baptist Church near Charleston, where she was a member.
The memorial service is scheduled so that those who loved Mrs. Jones can come directly after work, and dress is casual work attire.
Mrs. Jones died Feb. 8 at her home in the Paynes community.
For many years, Mr. and Mrs. Jones worked with Alcoholics Anonymous and helped many people in Tallahatchie County.
Born Aug. 23, 1951, in Webb, she lived many years in California. It was there that she met her husband, who was a native of the Oak Grove community in Tallahatchie County.
She leaves no survivors other than friends and her church family.
She was buried in the Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, next to her late husband.
