ROSSVILLE, Tenn. — Jimmy Ray Rounsaville, age 79, passed away Tuesday, July 23. He was born June 16, 1945.
Visitation and funeral services were held Friday, July 26, at Rossville Church with graveside services following at Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville, Tennessee.
Ray was born in Charleston, where he was a life time farmer. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and playing golf.
During his career, he served as president of the Tallahatchie County Club, Vice President of the Delta Council, District 1 Supervisor in Tallahatchie County, and President of the Cowart Gin. He was a member of the Rossville Church.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ruth Lee Rounsaville; son, Mike Rounsaville; daughter, Lezlie (Ben) Holland; grandson, Colton Rounsaville; nephews, Whitt (Mary) Covington, Mark Mooneyhan and Tim (Becky) Nicholson; nieces, Sandy (Earl) Cox and Mitzie Mason; and sister-in law, Glenda Abernathy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Gladys Rounsaville; brother, Clyde Rounsaville; sister, Ruth Nicholson; and sister-in-law, Dolores Carnahan.

Pallbearers were Whitt Covington, Mark Mooneyhan and Ben Holland.
Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
