GRENADA — Karen Fox Moore, age 71, of Grenada, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, at her home with her family at her side.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at McKibben & Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. J. Barry Worrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Duck Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the hour of the service Saturday at McKibben & Guinn.
She was born October 30, 1952 in Charleston to Edgar Harlin and June Louise Fox. Karen enjoyed a long career as an accountant for Hightower Oil Company and the John Mark King CPA firm. She was a faithful and devoted member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada for many years having served in many capacities including Sunday school teacher, ladies prayer group leader, GA leader, Children’s Bible Drills and choir assistant, sanctuary choir member and also served in several committee positions. Karen also enjoyed being involved in the various ministries of the North Mississippi Walk to Emmaus where she was proud to have served as a Lay Director in 2015. She also participated in numerous mission trips including trips to Honduras and Thailand.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny G. Moore, Sr.; two daughters, Melanie Satchfield Costilow (Mitch) and Jennifer Satchfield Busby (Dennis), both of Grenada; three sons, John William Satchfield (Andrea) of Phoenix, AZ, Joseph Thomas Robertson of Oxford and Benjamin Lee Robertson (Darlene) of Coila; two step-daughters, Cindy Moore of Grenada and Tammy Allbritton of Holcomb; step-son, John Moore, Jr. of Grenada; two sisters, Sheryl Myers (Abbott) of Dundee and Alice Robertson (Rick) of Pontotoc; one brother, Harlin Fox (Karen) of Batesville; four granddaughters, Maddison Makenna Satchfield, Cadence Raine, Natalie Star and Charlee Jean Robertson; five grandsons, Justin Lee Pickle, John Douglas Staten, Gregory Edward Staten, John William Satchfield, III and Sawyer Luke Robertson; step-grandchildren, Raven, Hunter and Andy Allbritton and Zachary Moore; two great-grandchildren, June Harlow Pickle and Mary Jo Staten and several step-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Tommy Edward Robertson.
Pallbearers will be Justin Pickle, Mitch Costilow, Dennis Busby, John Douglas Staten, Gregory Staten and Zak Robertson.
