CHARLESTON — Marion Watts Whitley, age 95, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, Feb. 16.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 18, at First Baptist Church in Charleston from 9-11 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Bro. Joe May conducting. Sacred music will be provided by Harlin Fox, Bud Trout, Mary Keyser and Jenette Keyser. Interment will follow in Rowland Cemetery. Womble Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
She was born October 7, 1926, in Mississippi to the late Percy Watts and Sara Neely Watts. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Charleston and worked at Tallahatchie County Bank for over 60 years.
Marion is survived by her three daughters, Lee Ann Whitley of Vicksburg, Kay Whitley Winstead (Keith) of Madison and Elaine Whitley Dodd (Wes) of Madison; two grandchildren, Whitley Winstead Pullen (Clark) and Wesley Dodd (Anna); one great grandson, Gaines Charlie Pullen; and a special niece, Sandra Westbrook Peters.
Pallbearers are Blane Breland, Wesley Dodd, Harlin Fox, Kevin Peters, Clark Pullen and Roy Shook.
